Kinesiology sessions

What is kinesiology?

What can kinesiology help with?

Kinesiology is a holistic therapy that uses gentle muscle testing to find the cause of a 'problem' that is presented, and it helps to provide a picture of what is going on inside a person's body.

Sessions are designed to support physical, emotional and energetic well-being while helping the body restore balance naturally.

Each session is tailored to the individual and their personal well-being goals.

Kinesiology has helped many with:

* IBS (irritable bowel syndrome)

* Back pain, muscle aches/ pains , joint pain

* Restless leg syndrome, sleep disturbances, insomnia

* Hormonal issues, skin problems

* Improving physical performance

* Low energy levels, bladder infections

* Depression, anxiety, overcoming past traumas

* Figuring out your body's food sensitivities

Each session begins with a discussion about your health history, concerns and goals. Using muscle monitoring and a range of balancing techniques, we work together to identify areas of stress and imbalance in the body.

The body has 4 realms: energetically, emotional, chemical and physical. If someone is structurally out of line or mentally upset, their energies are disturbed, and the body may start displaying symptoms or become unwell.  Think of it like a record player: when the record is playing smoothly and the songs play in the right order, life runs smoothly, and the body is in line. But sometimes a record may become scratched or out of sync, the body starts to display symptoms, so you turn the music down and ignore it, like taking a tablet; however the issue is still not fixed. Kinesiology helps to find out what has caused the record to become out of sync; instead of ignoring the problem by turning it down, it looks at the whole record, song by song, until the issue has been found. It's now brought back into balance, allowing your mind, body and energy to play in harmony again.

What a session looks like

Whether you are feeling physical discomfort or low energy levels, we will work together to restore the balance within the body. At the start of the session, we will talk about your symptoms and what you have been struggling with. I will inform you of what I will be looking at and how, and then perform the muscle testing on you. After your session, I will discuss what I have found and what can help you after leaving the session, such as vitamins and supplements. Your session may include techniques such as:

  •  Muscle testing to identify any imbalances in the body

  • Supplement testing on your body that matches you and your needs

  • Testing your body's reaction to certain foods to identify any sensitivities

  • Lymphatic massage to clear away congestion

  • Meridian work and acupressure work to support the body

Muscle testing

My story of how kinesiology helped me:

I first learnt about kinesiology at the age of 12 when I myself was experiencing poor health, and ever since have been fascinated by kinesiology and how the body works. My journey into kinesiology began through a personal experience- as a national-level gymnast, I was forced to give up the sport I loved due to debilitating IBS symptoms and extreme back pain that left me unable to perform simple tasks like brushing my hair.  After countless attempts to find the issue, including an MRI scan, it was a kinesiology session that finally discovered the root cause: a dysfunction in my ileocecal valve (ICV), also known as the Houston valve.

That session changed everything for me. Once addressed, my symptoms began to clear, and for the first time in years, I was free from constant pain and able to go back to gymnastics. I was inspired by this transformation and how simple structural issues, such as back pain, can be, in fact, due to the bowel. I then trained in systematic kinesiology so that I could help others find answers and healing where they may have lost hope. I now work with individuals who suffer from chronic issues like IBS, fatigue and musculoskeletal pain, supporting them through a whole body approach that looks beyond the symptoms to find the root causes.
